Wimshurst machine is an electrostatic generator using electrostatic induction to multiply the electric charge continuously. Wimshurst machine can
produce 120 kilo-volt. Static electricity is produced by two disc which are rotating in contrary direction, each disc has metal sectors. Two quadrants
have different electric charges and two other quadrants have identical electric charges.
Wimshurst machine consists of pair of Plexiglas disc enclosed aluminum sheet and Thin plastic sheet (28 sector aluminum sheet and plastic
sheet), two charge storage tube (Leyden Jar), A Pair of electrodes with the tip of the balls and isolator holder, Set of rotator and two 4 mm socket
terminal. This machine is operated by hand.
