CHEMICAL EQUATIONS II KIT

Introduce students to chemical equations as they perform and observe decomposition and synthesis reactions. Changes in chemical and physical properties are observed and the concept that some reactions require heat to proceed is introduced. The kit includes all required chemicals, reproducible procedures, a vocabulary exercise, and reproducible worksheets emphasizing balancing equations, valence, writing chemical formulas, and identifying reactants and products. Required, but not included: Bunsen burner (optional) and general laboratory supplies. Designed for 24 students working in six groups of four. Grades 8-12
