WATER TEST (QUALITATIVE ION) KIT
Learn to test for chloride, nitrate, phosphate, mercury, magnesium, chromate, lead, and carbonate ions, which are indicators of water pollution. The kit includes test solutions containing each of the ions for establishing controls and Universal Indicator solution and a Universal Indicator pH Chart, which may be used for determining water pH. This kit may be used for detecting the presence of polluting ions in any fresh water supply. Required, but not included: sulfuric acid, deionized water, and glassware. Contains lead nitrates. Designed for 24 students working in six groups of four. Grades 9-14
