This murder mystery provides inquiry based learning with an intriguing twist. Students apply many CSI techniques including blood typing, fingerprinting
(dusting with carbon powder, dusting with aluminium powder, cyanoacrylate, iodine fuming, and ninhydrin), hair analysis, and analysing and identifying
drugs, poisons and other chemicals. Using microscopes, measurement, chemical analysis, observation, and deductive reasoning, students examine the
clues necessary to solve the murder of Mr. Paul Dudden. Includes Searching for Clues Forensics Manual, Murder Mystery CD, Analysis of Hair Identification
Unit, Analysis of Fingerprinting Unit, and Analysing Drugs and Poisons Unit. Required, but not included: microscope, UV light, beakers, three test tubes
with corks or stoppers, large jar, nails, scissors, distilled water, newspaper, pencils, and scrap paper. Designed for 24 students working in six groups of
four. Meets national standards for Grades 7-12.
