BLOOD SPATTER DETECTIVE

The Blood Spatter Analysis Kit includes in depth experiments which help
students become aware of how physics plays a role in criminal investigation.
Students learn how gravity, distance, and angles affect a blood stain pattern.
Includes the use of a build it yourself blood spatter chamber. Experiments
include Distance Effect on Blood Spatter, Identifying Distance and Angle of
Travel with Blood Spatter, and Investigating Blood Spatter with Luminol.
Experimentation uses totally safe synthetic blood. Teaches students the sixteen
general rules of blood spatter interpretation and extensive investigative
technology. Now includes directions and student worksheets for calculating
angle of impact, area of convergence, and point of origin from blood spatter
patterns. Cross-curricular use of science and writing skills are applied in creating
a crime scene scenario. Includes materials for 24 students working in six groups.
Meets national standards for grade 9-12. Also appropriate for college level. Black
Light required, but not included.
