AIDS SIMUTEST KIT

Students become bio-technicians while using this AIDS test kit, running eight samples in a simulated ELISA to determine which patient(s) may have contracted the HIV virus. Kit includes simulated patient serums, conjugate, chromagen, and reusable pre-treated ELISA microtiter plates. The kit may be used many times; just add distilled water. The kit is totally safe for student use. It does not contain blood serum or infectious agents. Students experience the world of biotechnology while learning the biology of the HIV virus in a one hour lab investigation. Designed for six groups of four students. This kit is appropriate for college level coursework, college prep, or advanced biology courses. Grades 11-14.
