Triplebath features three independently controlled unstirred water baths in one unit.
Typically suitable for classroom use performing PCR routines in shallow temperature controlled water, each tank can be set to a different temperature for denaturing, annealing and elongation – reducing solvent and consumables.
Featuring three 2 litre stainless steel tanks with individual thermostatic digital controls, allowing each chamber to have a different temperature and shallow water levels.
Each chamber comes complete with a removable EduScience “low” height stainless steel perforated shelf.
Heaters and temperature sensor concealed under the tank providing a clutter free working area easy to wipe clean. The heating footprint covers the underside base of the tank, providing rapid energy transfer, quicker heat up times and a reduction in energy consumption with improved temperature uniformity.
Comprising of a high quality corrosion resistant stainless steel tank, with a bright clean finish housed in a durable paint finished outer case. Painted surfaces feature anti-bacterial finish with good chemical resistance.
Controls Easy to use digital controls with up and down key pads for setting the temperature in each tank.
Illuminated on/off switch and heater indication lamp for each tank.
We verify the performance of every bath calibrating its controls and water temperature at 45C for consistent temperature control in use.
Safety Thermal cut out fitted in the heater. IP rated clear booted on/off power switch. Bath fitted with non-slip rubber feet.
Heating Information Above 60?C it is recommended that to achieve optimum performance the bath should be covered with a lid or layer of polypropylene spheres. Covering the bath with a lid also reduces energy consumption and running costs for your EduScience water bath.
The rapid heat up times are based on minimum water level 10mm above shelf/platform.

It allows very small samples of DNA to be analysed and then making billions of copies. PCR is routinely used in forensic investigations, infectious disease testing and screening for genetic disease.
PCR is a system of copying/amplifying a sequence of DNA using DNA polymerase from heat stable bacteria. The target sequence is located in the genome using primers.
These primers are short pieces of DNA that are complementary to the ends of the target sequence. The DNA, primers and bacterial DNA polymerase are mixed, cycled through three temperatures which causes the DNA to be amplified.
