Students build a simple conductivity tester and use the circuit to test the conductivity of a variety of solid substances. They analyze the same substances to determine whether they are magnetic. The data collected is compared and contrasted to evaluate the properties that make an item conductive. Includes all testing materials, a manual complete with background information, and reproducible student materials. Goggles are required; one pair is included in the mini kit. Class kit is designed for 24 students working in groups of four.
